Honda City Hatchback Breaks Cover In Thailand

Honda has revealed the hatchback version of the fifth-generation Honda City in Thailand. The Honda City hatchback will be offered across three variants, namely, S+, SV, and RS (seen in the images) and will be sold in several ASEAN markets. The City hatchback will replace the third generation Jazz in select markets including Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.The Honda City hatchback gets similar design cues as its sedan sibling except for the rear. It continues to sport a sleek exterior design complemented by a projector headlamp with LED DRLs and LED taillights, shark-fin antenna and 15-inch alloy wheels. The rear fascia is completely different from its sedan version. Everything from the rear tail lights to the spoiler and bumper has been completely re-designed to lend the car its hatchback identity.On the inside, the City hatchback gets a black cabin with leather seats and chrome inserts. The car also gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker audio system and automatic air conditioning, etc. Safety features include ABS with EBD, 6 Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, and a rearview camera. The new City hatchback is powered by a 1.0-litre DOHC VTEC Turbo engine that delivers 122 hp and 173 Nm of torque.  The engine is mated to a CVT/6MT gearbox.  The hatchback also gets Honda's innovative rear seats that can split 60:40 to increase the utility space up to 4 modes with a rear luggage compartment.The hatchback is also available in a sportier RS version. The RS model gets a gloss black front grille and RS emblem with sporty front bumper and grille, black sport side mirrors, adjustable and electric folding with integrated turn signal, rear spoiler decorated in black sport style, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it gets suede seats with red stripe decoration.
